I`m an Italian violinist, violist, and composer based in Berlin and active internationally.
Artistic Work
My work increasingly unfolds at the intersection of performance and composition. I am particularly drawn to projects in which the creative and interpretative processes evolve together, shaping a unified musical language.
My Fantasia on Themes from the Levant for solo violin and orchestra was performed extensively in Germany and Italy in December 2025, including at the Kühlhaus Berlin with the Momentum Ensemble. The work reflects my interest in cultural identity and memory through contemporary expression.
In June 2025, I premiered my Violin Concerto No. 1, “The 20s”, commissioned by Strings Unlimited Bremen. The piece presents the solo violin as a narrative voice, moving between introspection and outward energy.
Looking ahead, I see projects of this kind, where performance and composition are conceived as a single process, as central to my artistic path, alongside my ongoing activity in chamber music, orchestral work, and traditional repertoire.
Insights
Born in Sicily, I began studying music at the age of seven before continuing my education at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London. In 2025, I graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin under the guidance of Prof. Kolja Blacher, and I am currently based in Berlin.
I work as a violinist and composer, with a strong focus on collaborative projects ranging from concert series and festivals to private and interdisciplinary events. My artistic practice is rooted in classical performance and chamber music, while remaining open to contemporary formats and diverse audiences.
Alongside my work as a classical violinist, I am an active multi-instrumentalist engaged in improvisation and cross-genre projects, including jazz, salsa, and world music. These experiences strongly inform my compositional voice and my approach to performance.
I perform regularly as a violinist and violist in chamber music and orchestral settings, and as Solo Violinist.
